Who asks for your consent
The consent dialogue on this site is Google's certified consent management platform. It is the same dialogue that governs the advertising, so there is one question and one answer rather than two that could contradict each other. Nothing that needs consent runs before you have answered it.
Strictly necessary (no consent needed)
We store your theme preference and travel-checklist ticks in your browser's localStorage, and the consent platform stores your answer so you are not asked on every page. These never leave your device and identify nobody.
Analytics (only with consent)
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and related) to measure page use, with IP anonymisation. If you decline, these are never set — the analytics script is not even loaded.
Advertising (only with consent)
This site is funded by advertising through Google AdSense. With your consent, Google may set cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads. If you decline personalised advertising you may still see ads, but they are not based on a profile of you.
Changing your choice
You can reopen the consent dialogue at any time and answer again. Your new choice applies immediately. You can also clear this site's data in your browser, which resets everything.
