Privacy policy

Short version: we collect almost nothing, and nothing without asking.

Who we are

DroneRulesEurope.com is an information site about drone regulations in Europe. For privacy matters, contact contact@droneruleseurope.com.

What we collect

By default: nothing. Reading this site requires no account and sets no tracking cookies until you answer the consent dialogue.

With your consent: we use Google Analytics to understand which guides are used, and we show advertising through Google AdSense. Both run only after you have accepted them in the consent dialogue, and analytics runs with IP anonymisation enabled. You can decline, and the site works identically.

Preferences: your theme choice, consent answer and checklist state are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). They never leave your device and we cannot read them.

Email: if you write to us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle it.

Legal basis

Analytics runs on consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time by reopening the consent dialogue. Correspondence is processed on legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)).

Third parties

If you consent, data is processed by Google under their terms as our analytics and advertising provider. Google's own consent management platform records your answer and passes it to both services. We do not sell or share personal data with anyone else. External links — national authorities, training providers — lead to sites with their own policies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of personal data we hold, and complain to your national data protection authority. Given how little we collect, the honest answer to most requests will be that we hold nothing about you — but ask.
