COPTRZ Ltd is a drone reseller and training provider founded in 2016 and based in central Leeds. Its catalogue runs well beyond certification into thermography, surveying, counter-UAS and sector modules for police, search and rescue, powerline, solar and offshore asset inspection. It also operates a separate defence arm.

Recognition
Listed by the UK Civil Aviation Authority as a Recognised Assessment Entity for Remote Pilot Competency under the name COPTRZ Ltd, with privileges covering the A2 Certificate of Competency, the General VLOS Certificate and the Level 1 Remote Pilot Certificate. The CAA publishes no reference numbers for the entities on that list. Its Ofqual-regulated qualification is awarded through TQUK.
Practical detail
Head office in central Leeds, with in-person courses run at several UK locations including Leeds, Edinburgh, Kent, Birmingham, Cardiff and Rugby, and cohort training at customer premises. Practical work uses COPTRZ-owned aircraft under the company's own insurance. A valid UK CAA Flyer ID is required before starting the RPC-L1, which is a practical obstacle for anyone without a UK registration, and ten hours of flying experience is recommended before the GVC flight assessment.
