Recognition

Listed by the UK Civil Aviation Authority as a Recognised Assessment Entity for Remote Pilot Competency, under the entity name Colena Ltd trading as Heliguy, with privileges covering the A2 Certificate of Competency, the General VLOS Certificate and the Level 1 Remote Pilot Certificate. The CAA publishes no reference or approval numbers for the entities on that list, so there is no number to quote. Its Ofqual-regulated awards are issued through TQUK. The operational authorisation number shown elsewhere on its site is a permission for its own flights, not a training approval.

Practical detail

Based at North Shields on Tyneside, where the RPC-L1 practical is run. GVC flight examinations can be taken at one of its UK venues or at a customer's own site for closed courses, though the other venues are not named publicly. Aircraft are supplied for the RPC-L1 course, including IP-rated DJI multirotors, and hardware can be supplied for closed courses. Whether international students are accepted is not stated, and the courses are built around UK regulation.

How this listing works

We list Heliguy because we could confirm it exists and operates in drone training. We are not affiliated with it, we take no fee for the listing, and inclusion is not an endorsement. Details go out of date — the provider's own site and your authority's list of recognised entities are the sources that count. Checked 2026-09.
